STROUD-based bathroom designer Alison Ebanks has fought off national competition to be selected as a finalist in this year’s Design Awards.

Alison, who works as an interior designer for Water and Stone Bathrooms in North Woodchester, is one of only three contenders shortlisted in the award’s Contract Bathroom Designer of the Year category.

The finalists will attend a gala dinner event at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London on October 5, where the winners will be announced. "I am delighted to have made it as a finalist for these awards which are highly respected within the industry," said Alison.

"The project I submitted was a bathroom development we designed and installed in Maidenhead. My client was after a real wow factor in their en-suite so I was able to use my creative skills to the full.

"A lot of planning and hard work went into providing their dream bathroom, which involved removing walls to create an ideal floor plan, installing sensor operated LED lights and using a range of glass and mirrored elements to set the room aglitter.

"I paid so much attention to all of the details so I am pleased my efforts have been recognised by the judges, as well as by the client."

Established in 2003, the awards celebrate innovation across a wide spectrum of home design projects.

Water and Stone has built itself a sterling national reputation since it formed just three years ago and has recently been contracted to work on interiors at London’s five-star Hempel Hotel.
