Banish the January blues and Try Something New! New year, new you? Get along to The Chantry Centre in Dursley on Saturday 1st February and try your hand at a whole range of activities and discover new opportunities right here on your door step. The ‘Try Something New’ Fun day event offers something for the whole family to enjoy. Running from 10am-3pm, there will be lots of free activities to try including fitness and dance tasters, arts & crafts, circus workshops, felt making, henna and face painting, Samba drumming, Singing workshops, stage fighting workshops, table tennis, skittles, cheerleading and more!

The event will also help local people to learn about volunteering opportunities available and showcase the exciting changes taking place at The Chantry Centre in Dursley. Ben Ward from local community organisation, World Jungle, who has organised the event explains: “Try Something New is all about helping people to feel better about themselves by getting inspired to try new things and getting active in their community.

There will be loads of fun stuff for people to have a go at; suitable for the whole family, young and old! The day is also a great opportunity to learn about the many volunteering opportunities available locally and the exciting stuff happening at The Chantry Centre this year.”

The day is being funded by The Big Lottery Fund’s Groundwork Community Spaces programme and all activities are offered free of charge.
