THE Refreshment Kiosk at Stroud General Hospital are serving hot drinks in new brown and cream stoneware mugs thanks to Wilkinson Stores Limited, Merrywalks, Stroud.
Last year Wilkinson kindly donated 40 mugs for the Refreshment Kiosk and this year have provided 20 more as replacements towards breakages and losses over the year.
The League of Friends has a large group of volunteers who run the Refreshment Shop to give people waiting to be seen as Outpatients or in the Minor Injuries Unit a nice hot drink and perhaps a biscuit or snack.
Any profits from this are used towards funding services and equipment for staff and patients and an amount of £4,900 was given to the League of Friends from sales at the kiosk during 2013.
The photo shows the presentation by Graham Massey, Manager of Wilkinson Stores Limited to Susan Strongitharm of the League of Friends with volunteers, Carol Parker (left) and Valerie Reid.
