THE Lunch Club was delighted to welcome Geraldine Butler to its April meeting which was the occasion of the AGM.
Following a distinguished and far flung career in the diplomatic service, Geraldine is now a European Parliamentary candidate for the
South West in the forthcoming European elections and she gave an explanatory and very illuminating rundown of the structure and the necessary reforms for which David Cameron is working.
The Club's AGM saw the usual triennial shift in positions at the head of the committee: Wendy Cannon became Chairman and Daphne Hogarth moved on to President.
The retiring President, Dorrie Bannerman-Jeyes, stays as a committee member.
There will be one more meeting, in May, before we take our summer break.
Visitors/new members are always welcome to join us.
