A BUSY few months for our WI.

Meetings are well attended with Ann our President in the chair.

Local walks, scrabble, singing, craft sessions and lunch club enjoyed by many of our members.

Our craft ladies are busy planning a craft display for the Stroud Show in the summer.

We enjoyed Fiddler on the Roof at the Everyman Theatre and an outing to Bath for the Fashion Exhibition at the Assembly Rooms (a lovely day out to include lunch and shopping of course.

Our first 'Pop in Cafe' was held in Chalford Hill on April 3, offering coffee and light lunches.

We hope to continue this on a monthly basis: the delicious home made soup and cakes proved to be very popular.

Arrangements are in the pipeline for our 82nd Birthday Party in May - an afternoon tea party followed by an evening Boots No7 pamper evening (How to look ten years younger).

Two of our members will be attending the WI AGM at Leeds on June 7 where the resolution 'To increase organ donation' will go forward to a final vote by members.

Always an interesting and inspiring day with some excellent speakers.

Our speakers to date were Caroline Sanderson (Kiss, Chase and Conkers), Tony Osman (History of stained glass and demo), Janice Cole (Charity ACWW-supporting women worldwide).

All highly recommended.

We have an excellent programme planned for the rest of 2014 - something for everyone.

New members and visitors are assured a warm welcome.
