THE exhibition at the Museum in the Park, celebrating our 30th Anniversary, exceeded all of our expectations, attracting more than 500 visitors over the eight days.

The subjects were many and varied, from workhouse to council house, photos old and new, history old and more recent, work and leisure.

Much useful feedback was gained, extra research will be followed up on several topics and families were delighted to see pictures of their relatives displayed.

To find out more, visit our website www.stroudlocalhistorysociety.org.uk - it has a Town Trail; photos of bits of Stroud you may not have noticed; 30 years of Stroud 1984 to 2014 (written for the exhibition); and links to lots of other websites.

Also our programme and past meetings and visits.

Non-members are welcome at our meetings, and you don't have to be an expert.
