AS THE Club does not meet in the Village Hall during August, a day trip was planned this year to the gardens of Hidcote and Kiftsgate.

30 members and guests set off on Saturday, August 9, to spend the morning at Hidcote and the afternoon at Kiftsgate.

Both gardens were at their best and in full bloom - being most colourful.

It was noted by those with better memories than mine that there had been some major changes to the gardens since our last visit some thirty years ago.

But from comments received to-date we understand that everyone enjoyed the visit and thanks go to the Committee for arranging it.

The next Committee meeting will take place on September 1, 2014 at Rosebank, home of Treasurer Betty Clark, to commence at 2.30pm.

The next meeting in the Village Hall will be on Tuesday, September 9 at 7.30pm the subject for the evening will be 'Professional Planting Plans' presented by Caroline Tatham starting at 7.30pm.
