THE president Peter Nairn told the meeting that the speaker for the morning was unable to attend and Clive Blackmore, one of our own members, had kindly offered to step in.
Clive showed a video he had taken whilst on a Baltic cruise which included a running commentary.
He took us on a journey to several cities where his commentary, which was of a particularly high standard, gave details of the geography, history and places of interest together with various famous or infamous people who were associated with the location.
This was a truly riveting presentation and was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.
The next Probus meeting is at 10.15am on Wednesday, September 10 at the Cotswold Indoor Bowling Centre, Dudbridge, Stroud.
It is open to all retired men and ample free parking is available.
