COBALT is delighted to announce the grand finale of their Open Garden event programme 2014, to be held at the majestic Stowell Park in Northleach on Sunday, September 14 from 2pm – 5pm.

Not usually open to the public in September, Cobalt is offering visitors an exclusive opportunity to view these spectacular gardens in the autumn, when Stowell Park is transformed into a completely different world.

One of the best private gardens in the country, Stowell Park is grown on traditional lines.

An enormous eight acres in total, the magnificent garden boasts three peach houses, two vineries, three pot plant greenhouses, half an acre of cut flowers and an acre of fruit and vegetable gardens.

Lady Vestey and her Head Gardener, Neil Hewertson, have created a garden bursting with colour all year round. Visitors will be surprised to see the diversity of colour in the garden in September and children will be excited to see the many fish in the fountain garden, including a 1.2 metre sturgeon.

Entrance costs £5 per adult, under 16s are free and delicious homemade cakes are available to buy on the day, along with refreshing hot and cold drinks.

Cobalt is celebrating five decades of medical work.

Their 50th Anniversary Appeal, to make the latest and very best PET/CT (Positron Emission Tomography/Computerised Tomography) scanning available to people across the South West, is well underway.

The charity is raising money to provide a new scanner, offering faster, safer and clearer scans.

It will enhance their ground-breaking research, as well as improve diagnosis and treatment for thousands of local patients.

Join us in Northleach at this spectacular garden to see the beauty of Stowell Park in the autumn and help us to raise vital funds for Cobalt.
