THE Minchinhampton Gardening Club's 32nd Annual Show, held in the hall at Minchinhampton School, was - as usual - very well supported by the residents of Minchinhampton and adjoining villages.
The exhibits were of a high standard and visitors were able to see a wide range of beautiful flowers, fruit and vegetables, domestic science entries, photographs and children's entries.
Of particular note were the beautiful arrangements to depict 'Cider with Rosie', the enormous golden chrysanthemums, the heaviest marrow which weighed 19lbs and the great display of onions.
As usual, teas and coffees were available with a delectable array of home-made cakes, which were enjoyed by the visitors who were able to sit outside in the school playground.
The sales stall was also very popular, selling plants grown by members.
Chairman, John Bingle thanked everyone involved in the organisation and running of the Show which reflected the wonderful community spirit in the town and welcomed Reverend Helen Bailey who presented the cups and certificates.
