THE "3 in 1" concert venue in St Martin's Church in Horsley will continue to host a series of monthly music and film events, starting on Saturday, October 18 with a concert of songs from the first two decades of the 20th century.
In a performance entitled "The Light and the Dark", the Gloucester-based a capella group Chorus Felum will present a sample of Edwardian and WW1 songs, including several music-hall favourites of the period, contrasting the lightness of the Edwardian age with the darker elements of the war years.
A special feature of this concert will be a guest appearance by the very talented young violinist Hannah Brookes-Hughes.
This series of events is organised by "3 in 1 Arts @ Horsley", a group of Horsley residents.
Any income from the events is used to fund additional facilities at the "3 in 1", which acts not only a parish church but also an assembly hall for Horsley Primary School and a community-run performance venue.
Tickets are on sale at Horsley Village Shop and Bluebird in Nailsworth. For further information email 3in1arts@talktalk.net.
