THE team at Midlands Air Ambulance Charity has launched a new marketing campaign to encourage further volunteers to join the charity by demonstrating just how important volunteers are to supporting the great work of the vitally important emergency service.

The campaign, which stars life saving flight paramedics stood shoulder to shoulder with some of the charity’s dedicated volunteers, highlights they both help save lives in the region and asks the question ‘could you?’

Alison Hill, volunteer manager for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, explains why the charity is launching the campaign: “We have an extremely supportive family of 80 volunteers, who assist at fundraising events, cheque presentations and talks. As we operate the largest air ambulance region in the UK, unfortunately there are still some areas of the Midlands where we have very few, if any volunteers living locally, which is why we launching our new volunteering drive.

“We want to demonstrate that everyone associated with Midlands Air Ambulance helps saves lives, whether they are one of our highly skills doctors or paramedics or choose to support the charity that solely funds the service. Each life saving air ambulance mission costs £2,500 and our volunteers are hugely important in helping us to raise awareness of our charitable status and assisting us at fundraising events around the region.”

If you are interested in donating some of your spare time to supporting the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, by volunteering even just a couple of hours per month, you can help to save lives in the region.
