AFTER another successful year of bringing through another wave of enthusiastic new beekeepers and holding events during the year.
Stroud Beekeepers Association recently held their AGM.
Along with adult trainees Stroud Beekeepers also engages with children and teens and runs a very successful Buzz Club.
As part of this Laura Mason was presented with the ‘Rosa Bradley’ cup for the Young Beekeeper of the Year.
The cup is in memory of local lady Rosa Bradley who had for many years brought the joys of Beekeeping to the younger generation.
After the formal activities Julian Rees gave an informative talk on behalf of International Bee Research Association (IBRA) detailing the Charities activities in passing on Bee Keeping education in other parts of the word.
Although at this time of year there is little bee activity, Stroud Beekeepers are looking forward to an interesting winter of talks and activities and will again be offering their Beginners Beekeeping Course from February next year.
Full details of all our activities are available from the Associations Website stroudbeekeepers.co.uk
