OUR November evening was the now traditional "Members Supper".
Committee members organised the evening providing a delicious supper of cold meats, homemade quiches, salads, scrumptious puddings and a glass of wine or soft drink.
Tables were laid with a colourful array of napkins and flowers in purple, red and orange, creating a theme for bonfire night.
After the meal members were entertained by Claire Greenwood who kept her audience laughing with amusing readings, poems, jokes and anecdotes.
Competitions were held for the best corsage and for her flower arrangement "Prelude to Christmas" - Rose Grant won the trophy.
There are still a few tickets left for the Christmas Open Evening at Wycliffe college on Friday, December 12, cost £10, to include a glass of wine and a mince pie.
Our next meeting is on February 4, 2015, when Adrian Cooke will be demonstrating "Let's Go Dutch".
