YOUNGSTERS at a social group had a flipping fantastic Shrove Tuesday last week.
The children at Saint James Chatterbox in Quedgeley spent the morning decorating paper pancakes.
To round off the session they took part in a pancake race – running up and down the aisles using ‘pans’ made out of tin foil and cardboard. Each child received a sticker and a small box of raisins and a freshly cooked pancake.
Jackie Hall organiser of chatterbox said: “We had a fantastic morning. We’ve had all sorts of pancake creations from funny faces to youngsters crayoning on pretend jam or syrup.
“Some have just decided to make pretty patterns. The race down the church aisles with the paper pancakes proved popular.”
