THE monthly meeting of the Stonehouse W.R.B.L. took place at the Community Centre on Thursday, February 26.

The chairman Janet Walsh led the exhortation and silent tribute.

Everyone was welcomed.

There were 29 members present.

Our speaker was Rupert from Global Arts.

He gave us a very entertaining afternoon, by telling us a story of folk lore from his native Ghana.

Rupert`s helper was Anne.

She gave members a large variety of instruments and everyone enjoyed joining in the story, when applicable.

Instruments made the sounds of thunder, lightning, rain, frogs etc., with an occasional background of drums beating a rhythm, led by Rupert.

It was wonderful.

The whole afternoon was something quite different and very enjoyable.

Our next meeting will be on Thursday, March 27, when a talk will be given by J. Turpy on “The Roof of the World”, and the competition will be for a mountain picture.

The competition for a decorative bell was won by Sandra Sowls.

There will be a Coffee Morning on April 15 at the Community Centre.

Also Anzac Day will be remembered on April 26 at Leighterton.

We are always pleased to see new members at our meetings.
