LEONARD Stanley WI helped organise a Lent Lunch in the Village Hall on Wednesday, March 4, in aid of the Willow Trust.
There were over 50 hungry people who thoroughly enjoyed their lunch of homemade soup and hot bread rolls, followed by fresh fruit and coffee or tea.
They were served by WI members wearing their new aprons who with the kitchen staff did an excellent job in making sure everyone was served quickly.
A raffle, book and bric a brac stall also helped to raise the grand total sum of around £214.00.
