THE members of the Cirencester and Stroud Branch of Parkinson’s UK are looking forward to a busy year of meetings and other activities.

In January Dr Patrick Lewis gave an interesting talk on the LRRK2 gene and its links to Parkinson’s Disease.

At the branch’s AGM in February Dr Shane Roche gave an illustrated talk on the symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease.

The branch has organized a Stafford Cottage Fashion Show on the March 20 in Minchinhampton and in April during Parkinson’s Awareness Week there will be a conference for the County’s branches at Gloucester Rugby Club.

The branch also organizes monthly pub lunches and a weekly exercise and tai chi class at Frampton Mansell village hall.

The branch welcomes Parkinson’s sufferers and their carers.
