SHOEBOXES filled with toys, educational items and household goods by pupils at Sir William Romney’s School in Tetbury, are on their way to Eastern Europe – just in time for Easter.
A total of 47 shoeboxes have been assembled at the school in recent months as part of a Rotary campaign to help disadvantaged communities in Romania and Ukraine.
SWR’s Design Technology curriculum coordinator Mike Wagner, who organised the collection, has nothing but praise for the efforts of his pupils.
“I’m delighted with the response from our students and their families, and we plan to make this a regular event,” he says.
