AT LAST, after 40 years the scout hut at Amberley Scout Group has now been fitted with a heating system that provides central heating around the main hall though six large radiators, plus radiators in the toilets and the kitchen, also hot water to the taps.
This project was made possible by the funding of £5,000 from the Gloucestershire Environmental Trust with the Landfill Communities Fund, provided by Cory Environmental.
Like most Scout groups we would find it very difficult to find the full cost of a project like this, so from all our scouts, cubs, beavers and guides, we send a big thank you to The Gloucestershire Environmental Trust for their support.
Also a thank you to an old scout Mark Pollard who through his local company MP Heating, Plumbing and Aga Specialists, advised on a Worcester Bosch Greenstar Boiler and made sure we got all round good value on the boiler and radiators fitted.
