A SUCCESSFUL concert tour to the north west of England was undertaken by Gloucestershire Police Male Voice Choir between April 16 and 19, there was an impromptu concert at Manchester Cathedral en route to Blackpool on the Thursday afternoon and a concert at Aston on Ribble on Friday evening and Longridge on Saturday evening.

These two concerts raised £1,560 for church repairs and Christian Aid.

The GPMVC was formed in 1970 by serving officers and over the years has extended to civilian and support police workers before becoming open to all males.

There are currently more than 60 members and the choir is still seeking new members.

There are monthly concerts throughout the county to raise money for good causes.

If you like singing and fancy joining a choir come and join us at rehearsals at The Gala Club at Longfords on Monday evenings at 7.30pm or visit our website to hear us sing and find out all about the choir.
