ELECTION fever has hit Sir William Romney’s School in Tetbury this week with Year 10 students delivering party manifestos.
The school is running its own polls alongside the general election to see if the views of young people are mirrored nationally.
Five year 10 students have taken on the role of leaders representing the Conservative, Liberal Democrats, Labour, Green and UK Independent parties.
Evie Pelta Lennox (Conservative), Emily Robbins (Labour), Will Wade (Liberal Democrats), Lily Chadwick and Gracy Rudin (Green) and George Waring and Finn Gazzard (UKIP) delivered speeches based around three key issues: education, EU and the environment.
The speeches were passionately delivered and students left the assembly feeling inspired.
Hustings will be followed by a vote by Year 7-10 students on General Election Day.
