Minchinhampton residents sitting pretty thanks to new bench donated by Lovell

HOUSEBUILDER Lovell has teamed up with Minchinhampton Parish Council to provide a new bench in the town.

The bright blue metal bench donated by Lovell has been installed in Cambridge Way, near the entrance to Minchinhampton Church of England Primary School. It was the idea of Councillor Gerald Ford (standing on right), who joined Parish Council chairman Nick Hurst (standing on left) and Lovell sales advisor Tracy Edrop (seated) to celebrate its installation.

Parish Council clerk Jo Barber says: “We chose this spot as it’s a route which is well used by people walking to and from the town centre and also by parents picking up or dropping off children at the school.”

“We were very pleased to be able to help out with the bench and hope that people enjoy using it,” says Lovell community liaison officer Bernadette Vickery.

Lovell aims to support and help local communities wherever it can as part of its Lovell Legacy commitment to creating lasting benefits in neighbourhoods.

Lovell is building new homes for sale in Minchinhampton at its developments, The Paddocks and Old Common Mews in the town, as well as new council homes for Stroud District Council which are the first to be built in the district for more than 30 years.

Lovell is building 35 new council houses on two neighbouring sites as part of the council’s major programme to build 150 new homes in the next four years.

In addition, Lovell is building 31 homes for open market sale which are seeing strong demand from homebuyers.

Lovell recently opened two new show homes in Minchinhampton where it has a range of two-, three- and four-bedroom homes currently available from £237,995.
