Quedgeley Youngsters say fond farewell to Caroline
YOUNGSTERS at Saint James’ Chatterbox gave a big farewell send off to Caroline Bland at this week’s Chatterbox session.
Caroline is the Ordinand (trainee priest) at Saint James’ and will be ordained in June.
She is then due to take up a new post at Holy Trinity Longlevens.
Caroline has been helping with the group since it started in 2013.
Jackie Hall Organiser at Chatterbox said ‘Caroline has been a stalwart supporter of the group since we set it up in 2013. Although she can’t always spare the time now to visit each week, she’s always available for help and advice. We are going to miss her but wish her well in her new posting’.
Father John Ward Rector and Parish Priest said ‘I’m sure Caroline will miss Chatterbox too. She’s made lots of friends amongst the parents and the youngsters. We are really sorry to see her go. She will be a great loss to Saint James’.
Caroline was presented with a bouquet of flowers, chocolates and cards from youngsters at the group.
