IT WAS all ‘hands on’ as everyone joined in the lively craft activity at Saint James’ Church Quedgeley on Sunday.

Children, parents and grandparents took to sewing decorative patterns on foam, cut out in the shape of hands.

The theme for the morning service was ’Jesus’ hands are kind hands’

Children learnt about the healing miracles from the bible and Cedric; Father John’s loveable puppet made an appearance much to the delight of all the children.

The church was full and adults tested their knowledge of the bible with a crossword puzzle, whilst the youngsters busied themselves with the craft activity.

The morning rounded off with the usual buffet lunch prepared by members of the congregation.

Father John, Rector and Parish Priest said “It’s been an amazing morning. I think everyone had a ‘hand’ in the craft activity this morning. It was great to see our regular members of the congregation help some of the younger ones. It was fantastic to see that whilst worshipping and praising God everyone was having so much fun and laughter. Our service takes place on the first Sunday of each month at 10.30am. Do join us next month”
