Nailsworth Mills Bowling Club

NAILSWORTH Mills retired triples came out the winners in a keenly fought home match against Dursley by 87 shots to 77.

Three winning triples comprised of George Wilcox, Brian Hughes and Malcolm Hacker; Chris Hacker, Jean Golding and Brian Ruther and Janet Back, Richard Pickernell and Graham Adams.

The triples of Vaughn Webber, Ken Young and John Partridge and Elaine Dutton, Colin Webb and Richard Hill were only narrowly beaten.

Six rinks of triples from Nailsworth Mills travelled to Wotton-under-Edge on a Sunday afternoon for a mixed friendly match with four rinks winning and two losing.

The top scoring rink for Nailsworth consisted of Maggie Bryant, who was playing in her first match, Steve Robinson (Capt) and Colin Webb.

Bill Bryant who was also playing in his first friendly match was on a winning rink with Ken Young and Paul Stephens.

Nailsworth won this very enjoyable match by 102 shots to 92.
