A FANTASTIC afternoon was had by all at the Richmond Retirement Village Summer Fete on Friday, August 7.
Residents were joined by family, and friends along with visitors from the local area.
They were entertained throughout the afternoon by musicians Sheila and Steve in the auditorium whilst enjoying afternoon tea, and delicious ice cream provided by Gary Ingram.
Punch and Judy went down a storm with children and parents alike they were completely mesmerised, even though there was a lot of arguing between Mr and Mrs Punch!
‘Molly’ the snake from Karls Kreatures was very well behaved, wrapping herself around lots of people during the afternoon.
The Fete also raised £300 for Winston’s Wish, the residents chosen charity of the year.
With raffle prizes kindly being donated by Tesco, Morrisons, Rococo Gardens, Painswick Pharmacy, Kath Kidston, and all of the Stall Holders.
Gary Bidmead, the Village Manager, said, “This has been a great opportunity to support Winston’s Wish with all of the Painswick Team getting involved, to make this another successful event.”
