CHILDREN at the very popular Quedgeley parent and tots group broke out into rhythm on Tuesday and made their own musical shakers.
Clever youngsters soon came to grips with gluing and using string to secure their paper shakers.
Once again the craft activity involved using paper plates and recycled coloured paper.
Pasta was added to make them rattle.
At the end of the session, children showed off their musical talent by rattling their shakers and singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to several of the Chatterbox youngsters.
Father John, Rector and Parish Priest said ‘The shakers were very brightly decorated and the youngsters loved shaking them to make a noise.
I’m not sure how long they will last. We shall probably see a trail of pasta along the church path, but they enjoyed the morning!’
Chatterbox has been open throughout the summer holiday.
The activities have been varied to cater not only for the tiny tots but their older siblings too.
Chatterbox is open every Tuesday 9.30am-11am in Saint James’ Church Quedgeley.
