THE Stroud Older Persons’ District Forum has been established since 2008 and has been meeting regularly at the District Council offices.

Supported by the Stroud District Council and the Gloucestershire Older Persons’ Association, the purpose of the Forum is to:

• Provide a forum for individuals and organisations to raise concerns

• Inform about a range of initiatives

• Influence public sector providers by giving feedback on policies and projects

• Connect the public and providers with services that they require

On Monday, September 28, at 10am the Stroud Forum is holding its first Autumn meeting which will be held in the Committee Room at Stroud District Council, Ebley Mill.

It will be celebrating UK Older People’s Day to coincide with the UN International Day of Older Persons which aims to recognize the achievements and contributions that older people make to our society and the economy.

At the Forum meeting we shall be:

• Giving information about the new dates and format of future Forum meetings

• Asking for your news and views

• Giving information about services around the district

• Hearing a ‘Living Book’ story
