Randwick Gardening Club: November meeting

A GOOD enthusiastic audience was welcomed to the meeting in Randwick Village hall on Tuesday, November 10.

The chairman thanked everyone for their support in returning the present committee back again for yet another year.

She also thanked Alan Wheatley for agreeing to join the committee.

A welcome coleague for Stuart!

Maxine Jarman was welcomed as a new member.

It has been decided to organise two, one-day outings plus the annual holiday to Southsea during 2016, which is well supported, we may be able to accommodate one or two more (double or twin).

If you are keen to join us, contact Ann Adams as soon as possible, more information nearer the time.

Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, December 8, starting at 7.30pm.

This meeting will take the form of a Festive Social with great food and wine provided by the committee.

We make a special effort for the enjoyment of all including a bumper Christmas raffle, all we ask is that all full members come along and join in the fun.

If any member does not intend to come please inform myself or any member of the committee.

The Chairman welcomed back Fiona Warin to give a talk entitled “Land Girls”.

She delivered much more than a talk which was hilarious.

The audience readily appreciated the animation and fun which Fiona delivered, it was really easy to picture everything.

It brought back memories to some of us of a certain age.

She rounded off with a “Land Girl” song joined in the choruses by one and all.

The chairman warmly thanked Fiona for a lovely evening, this was followed by refreshments served by Ann Adams and Beryl Neale.

The raffle was drawn and won by Pat Muncaster and Desi Luckman.
