Leonard Stanley Wine Circle: A well cooked Christmas meal
A WARM village hall, nicely decorated tables, welcomed with a glass of sherry and then sitting down to a well cooked Christmas meal with the usual glass or two of wine – what more could members wish for?
We all had a great time meeting up and enjoying each other’s company after being welcomed by Chairman Bob who gave apologies from Val and Andy Gunn who were looking after their latest new grandchild.
Volunteers to cook the Burns Night meal were requested, of course catching the haggis first!
After dinner, instead of our usual musical entertainment, Bill Weir a well known Magician worked the tables amid much laughter and wonder.
Our next meeting is on January 27, which is the Burns Night – something to look forward to.
A very Happy New Year to all members of Leonard Stanley Wine Circle.
