Cainscross WI: Christmas Party
CAINSCROSS WI had a full house for their Christmas Party held in early December.
All members, plus a visitor or two, attended the party which included entertainment by Cheltenham based Jazz Singer Jeanne Marlow, who was accompanied on keyboards by her friend Rod.
Jeanne sang before the sit down buffet, which was great as both singers joined us for this, and again afterwards.
The buffet was sumptuous with cold meat and cheese, a variety of salads and hot potatoes, and followed by a range of tempting desserts.
We all thoroughly enjoyed the evening and now look forward to next year 2016, which is our 90th Birthday Celebration year.
It is also the 90th birthday year for one of our longstanding members Dot Brunning, so we wish her a very happy birthday.
Our first meeting in January will be a Social one with a chance to catch up with all the news, and on the first Tuesday in February we start with our varied year's programme.
Our Birthday Party next July is set to be a very special one too.
