Saint James’ Church, Quedgeley: A new web site

SAINT James’ Church at Quedgeley has just released a new web site.

The site has been designed for them free of charge by Prospect Digital the Digital and Development arm of Prospect Training Services who runs the Q Club in Quedgeley along with various training programmes, both in county and abroad, from their offices in Quedgeley and Gloucester.

The new website contains more information than the previous site.

With community groups now in existence within Saint James’, there is concern that local residents don’t know enough about what is happening in the church on a daily basis.

Although the church now operates a facebook page, a web site offering information about the times of services and family events e.g. baptisms, marriages and funerals needed to be updated and easily available to the public.

A photo gallery is also a new feature on the website where photographs from church events can be uploaded.

Father John Rector and Parish Priest said: “The new website is fresh and inviting. Prospect Training has done an amazing job and we are sincerely thankful for their help. It is good that the website will be able to cater for both the church and the community groups that operate here. I’m sure it will be much easier for local residents to use, with all the information under one ‘umbrella’ so to speak. The site itself is displayed in Saint James’ colours – red and gold and easy to operate. The domain name will be the same quedgeleychurch.org.uk

"Several members of the church congregation have received training and are currently getting to grips with using it”

Dan Pinnell - Director of Prospect Training commented: “I’m really glad that we have been able to help the community in this way. It is great to see so many community groups now operating from the church and it’s been a pleasure working with Saint James’ on this project”.
