Stroud Shambles WI: With speaker James Macleod on 'The History of the Traditional British Toastmaster'.
TWO new members signed up at our February meeting, and a birthday posy was given to Ann Biddell.
Val read through the forthcoming events and meetings and also informed the members of the WI Resolution results.
The speaker today was James Macleod on 'The History of the Traditional British Toastmaster'.
We were informed that a Toastmaster must offer a vast wealth of experience and knowledge for whatever function is planned, be it a charity or corporate function, Masonic Dinner, birthdays, anniversaries or weddings and many other events.
He must be able to deal with the unexpected and also the etiquette and complexities of British Traditions.
James related many anecdotes which were amusing and we all found the talk to be very informative.
New members are always welcome to our meetings which are held on the second Wednesday of each month.
