Eastcombe WI: Showcase a range of alluring creative crafts
THIS week Eastcombe WI strutted their stuff, with a range of alluring creative crafts, to tempt new members.
We had Bev demonstrating lace-making, Sarah with willow-baskets, Pauline beading and jewellery, Pat & Sheila card-making, Margaret crochet, Marion spinning, Beryl flower-arranging, Tuula Finnish Christmas biscuits and Maureen with yarn bombing!
What is ‘yarn-bombing’ you might ask!
All we can say is keep your eyes open around Eastcombe this spring!
There were also scrapbooks on display, details of a wide variety of courses members had attended at Denman and some heart-warming samples of knitting for premature babies.
It was good to welcome visitors and to have such interest in the WI.
We are now hoping for some new members, who will bring their own ideas and interests into our midst.
Why not come along to our next meeting at Eastcombe Village Hall, on Tuesday April 19.
