STROUD Gardening Club held their Members only Spring Bulb Show on March 16, and this was very well attended.
Chairperson, Sharon Pellatt welcomed everyone to the event, and introduced our judge for the evening, Mrs Michaela Freed, from RHS Wisley.
Whilst the judging was taking place, Sharon presented Edna Powell and Ken Gracie with gifts of appreciation on their retirement from the committee.
They were both founding members of the club and had served on the committee every year since.
Refreshments were then served, with cakes made by Sharon and Jan.
When judging was over, Michaela then explained the results and gave tips and advice at the same time, which we all found very useful.

Cup for best in show awarded to June Bishop for her Small Patio Pot, and the cup was presented to her by Michaela Freed from RHS Wisley.
Thanks were given to Michaela for her visit.
A raffle was then drawn to bring the evening to a close.
Our next meeting is on Wednesday, April 20, when our speaker will be Mr Keith Dickenson on the subject of bee keeping, the evening is open to both members and non-members at the Bedford Street Congregational Church Rooms at 7.30pm.
