ON TUESDAY, April 12, 2016, St Peter's High School, Gloucester, marked the third anniversary of the death of our former head teacher, Lawrence Montagu, with a memorial Mass in the school hall celebrated by Monsignor Liam Slattery of St Peter's Church, Gloucester and Father Kevin Hennessey of Our Lady's, Churchdown.
We were delighted to welcome Isobel Montagu, her sons, Paul and Keiran (and young grandson Theo!) as well as many former members of staff, former governors and parents of former students, all of whom came to pay their respects to an inspirational head teacher.
Mr Jim Stenson, chair of governors, made a short speech about Larry's influence on the school and unveiled the framed photograph of Larry with a plaque in the newly refurbished block.
We were also delighted that Mark and Matthew Donaldson of Town and City Builders (who are themselves former students of St Peter's) were able to attend on this occasion.
