Nailsworth & District Flower Arrangement Society: Sharon Dower's theme for the evening 'In the mood for'
OUR meeting on April 13 was a little later than usual this month due to the Successful ‘Open Day’ held at Wycliffe College.
Our demonstrator for the evening was Sharon Dower (area) a member of Swansea Flower Club and a Florist since 1986.
Sharon’s experiences include running her own flower arranging classes, in addition to demonstrating and organising workshops at the Three Counties Show.
Sharon’s theme for the evening was “In the Mood For".
Her designs included stunning arrangements depicting moods for dancing, weddings, shopping, reading and learning which filled the stage.
Sharon ended her demonstration with a traditional pedestal arrangement of beautiful spring flowers.
She hoped that she had inspired members to be "In the mood for" a bit of flower arranging.
Our competition "The Splendour of Spring" was won by Elaine Bushby, second Rose Grant and third Mary Oakey.
The New Programme for 2016/17 is now available to members on payment of the Annual Fee of just £30.
Our next meeting is on Wednesday, May 4 at 7.30pm in the Town Hall.
New members and visitors are always welcome.
