Frampton Youth Football Club: Fundraising for a new indoor training facility
FRAMPTON Youth Football Club are looking to submit planning for our new indoor training facility in Frampton on Severn, primarily for use for our youth football team’s Winter training, but also for local community clubs and schools to utilise, so we set a challenge across our 10 age groups to each raise at least £300 by May 1, 2016.
Fundraising is going very well with lots of creative ideas already put to the test – an Easter egg hunt, a family disco, a penalty shootouts and a table tennis championship - just some of the challenges that have added big money to the cause.
So we’re on target to reach at least £3,000 across the teams, but one young chap - Ewan Austin Harvey aged 7, managed to blow us away with his super fundraising skills and ability, raising a massive £379 on his own initiative, with a sponsored 1,500 metre swim.
Ian Palmer, Chairman at FYFC said: “We’re immensely proud of Ewan and would like to congratulate him on his 60 lengths at GL1 in one hour. What an achievement!!”
