Saint James' Church, Quedgeley: “Quedgeley Show a great success” – says Rector

THERE was a lot going on at the Quedgeley Show on Saturday.

The show organised by Quedgeley Community Trust was held at Severn Vale School.

Opened by Father John the Rector and Parish Priest of the local church at Saint James,’ the show produced the usual exhibits of cakes, craft and photograph plus lots more.

It was well supported by local groups.

The Chatterbox and Chit Chat team took the opportunity to promote the church and gave out leaflets advertising their weekly sessions that are run from the church.

A huge display produced by Field Court Infant School was also on display.

‘Guess the number of sweets in the jar’ attracted many individuals and the stall made £100 towards church funds.

Father John Rector and Parish Priest said: “I felt honoured to have been asked to open this prestigious event. It takes place each year and always proves to be a popular attraction. It was good to see so many young people taking part in the show’s activities and to have the opportunity to talk to local residents. The church stall also made some cash – a welcomed bonus and this will help support church funds.”
