Stroud Shambles WI: With Fiona Eadie, a skilled story teller
SUZANNE our President welcomed members and read through the forthcoming events and notices.
Birthday posies were presented to Gill Jobbins and June Blackmore.
Items based on a black and white theme, which had been designed and produced be our members for the Stroud Show on Saturday, July 16, 2016, were brought to the meeting.
The members felt they were very impressive, lets hope the judges feel the same.
The Speaker to-day was Fiona Eadie, who is passionate about language and bringing writing and the spoken word to life.
Her enthusiasm for words has led Fiona to become a skilled storyteller telling stories that entertain, enthral and inform.
To-days stories and riddles certainly did that.
Our next meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2016, at the Congregational Church Hall Stroud at 10.30am.
New members are always welcome.
