Dinner Down Memory Lane
Add meaning to your menu for Marie Curie
Get together to host a dinner party with a difference
DINNER parties are a great way to share memorable moments with friends and family, and Marie Curie is calling on food fans in Gloucestershire to host a dinner party with a difference this October.
The charity wants you to host a ‘Dinner Down Memory Lane’, and instead of asking guests to bring a bottle or a dessert, ask for a donation instead.
In doing so, you will help support Marie Curie Nurses care for people living with a terminal illness, helping them spend quality time with their loved ones.
Chrissy Perkins, Community Fundraiser for Marie Curie, said: “We all love getting together with friends and family, having fun and creating new memories - Dinner Down Memory Lane is all about doing just that. It’s the perfect excuse to share good times with your loved ones and, by inviting your guests to make a donation; you’ll be supporting Marie Curie Nurses at the same time.”
Locally our Stroud and District Fundraising Group is hosting a 70s themed dinner at The Old Lodge, Minchinhampton – a fun filled evening with old favourites including prawn cocktail, chicken in a basket and Black Forest gateaux.
A warm welcome awaits you on November 10.
Tickets are limited so to get yours please email our Chair Deborah on stroudfundraising.mariecurie@yahoo.co.uk and she will be happy to help.
Tickets are £40 per head to include a welcome drink and a three course dinner with a glass of wine.
So dig out a family favourite or create a modern masterpiece - anything goes – just be the host with the most by creating a meal to remember this October in aid of Marie Curie.
