Painswick Music Appreciation Group
OUR group is for people who enjoy listening to recordings of what is generally described as classical music.
Meetings are on alternate Thursdays, September to May, usually at 7.30pm, but 2.30pm in the winter months December to February.
We meet in the Town Hall, Painswick (ample parking nearby).
The first meeting of the new season is on September 15, which will be devoted to a review of the programme with samples of the music we expect to hear.
Presenters are sometimes members and visiting speakers are often professional musicians.
We also have occasional visits to well known venues to hear live concerts (non members are welcome to these).
New members from the Stroud area are welcome, so if you would enjoy an evening in pleasant company hearing good music on fine equipment and with refreshments, come along and try, the first meeting is free.
For more information contact our chairman Alex Nichols, phone Stroud 873396.
