A big thank you to the people of Stroud.
SATURDAY saw an unusual site in the local B&Q car park - 65 large sacks and 12 building bags of clean clothes plus over 300 pairs of shoes!
All this donated by the Stroud community for the the ‘Help the Refugees’ campaign.
Launched by members of the Church of Jesus Christ all the donations are transported to the charity 'People in Motion' who deliver direct to those who have lost their homes, livelihood and even loved ones as they flee persecution from such countries as Syria.
A Church spokesperson said: "This was our second aid collection this year and we're truly grateful to all the local people who have donated, such generosity is heart warming, donating not only clothes, shoes and toiletries but also with cash donations”
