The Black Farmer supports Hope for Tomorrow in ground-breaking TV ad campaign

THE Black Farmer, a company dedicated to producing everyday gluten-free and RSPCA Assured meat products, is dedicating its latest ground-breaking ad to Hope for Tomorrow, the Gloucestershire-based charity which brings cancer treatment closer to home via its fleet of mobile chemotherapy units.

A major TV and media campaign, featuring The Black Farmer's uplifting two-minute film, will break over Christmas and includes a slot on Christmas Day in Channel 4's Alternative Christmas Message spot, to capture the nation in reflective mood.

Wilfred Emmanuel Jones, aka The Black Farmer, a cancer sufferer himself, knows the hardship that many cancer sufferers have to endure as they try to get back and forth to hospital to receive treatment.

"Dealing with cancer is gruelling enough in itself. Add to that the distance some people have to travel to receive treatment, the stress it causes is immeasurable, so much so that some decide not to continue with treatment."

Christine Mills founded the charity in Gloucestershire in 2003 after she lost her husband David to cancer.

Her dream is to provide at least one mobile unit in every county in the country by 2025, working in partnership with the NHS.

"I'm delighted that our charity was chosen by The Black Farmer," she said.

"We're incredibly grateful to them for the support and hope that we can keep the wheels turning on our Mobile Chemotherapy Unit project through this wonderful campaign."

"Very often small charities like this doing extraordinary work are often not seen or heard," Wilfred went on.

"I think The Black Farmer brand status and personal story puts me in a unique position to encourage people to help this great charity."
