Stonehouse Women's Royal British Legion: Christmas carols and a festive raffle
THE monthly meeting of the Stonehouse WRBL took place at the Community Centre on Thursday, December15.
Chairman Janet Walsh led the exhortation and silent tribute.
An enjoyable time was had singing Christmas carols and listening to seasonal poems.
The number of members present was smaller than usual because of illness.
Janet Walsh and Stella Gardner were the winners of the competition for a Christmas decoration.
There was also a large festive raffle.
Our next meeting is on February 23, at 1.45pm in the Community Centre when we shall look forward to a talk on Boatmobility, and the competition will be a picture of water.
We hope 2017 will be a healthy and peaceful year for everyone and we look forward to welcoming new members to our branch during the coming months.
