Randwick Gardening Club enjoy a quiz and a raffle
THE last meeting of the Club for 2016 took place in the village hall on Tuesday, December 13, in the form of a social event with much laughter and a few tears!
We started off with a Fun Quiz which brought all the laughter, the winning team consisted of Colin Francis, Mary Pickett, Marion Humphries and Iris Dowding, Betty presented each with a small prize.
This was followed by a super buffet provided by the Committee and
enjoyed by everyone!
Having satisfied the inner man/woman it was time for the bumper raffle, the following were the lucky winners:-
Betty Clark, Marion Watkins, Elizabeth Gregory, Val Flack, Marion Humphries, Beryl Neale, Sandra Seed, Harden Flack, Kay Dowdswell, Iris Perry, Allan Wheatley, Jean Owen and Iris Dowding.
The Treasurer then presented the outgoing Chairman with a magnificent Glass Vase which she received with gratitude and a few tears.
Many thanks to whoever decorated the Hall most beautifully, it was very much appreciated thanks again.
