Nailsworth and Woodchester Support Group help local people affected by cancer with donation

LOCAL medical charity Cobalt are set to receive a boost to their funds thanks to the generosity of long standing supporters Nailsworth and Woodchester Support Group.

The group have supported Cobalt for 30 years.

The donation is set to be around £10,000.

Richard Hardwick and John Perkins will be handing over the cheque on Wednesday, January 18 at 7.30pm at the Royal Oak pub, Church Road, North Woodchester, Stroud, GL5 5PQ.

Donations were raised through the Stroud Vintage Transport and Engine Club Annual Show at South Cerney Airfield amongst other fundraising activities including the annual Arthur’s Spring stroll which is an annual sponsored walk in aid of Cobalt.

Kirsty Bradbury, Fundraising Engagement Officer, Cobalt said: “The support we have received from the volunteers in Woodchester has been amazing. For 30 years their donations have helped us to continue to provide diagnostic imaging and cutting edge facilities to our patients.”
