Nailsworth & District Flower Arrangement Society: The Annual Christmas Open Evening with National Demonstrator Nigel Whyles
DECEMBER 14, 2016, was our Annual Christmas Open Evening held at Wycliffe College to which over 200 members and friends enjoyed an evening with National Demonstrator Nigel Whyles.
The audience were welcomed with a glass of wine or soft drink and the traditional mince pie or piece of Stollen Cake.
Seasonal gifts and flower arranging materials were available from our well stocked ‘Sales Table’.
Raffle tickets were purchased in anticipation of winning one of the beautiful flower arrangements from Nigel’s demonstration.
‘Seasonal Splendour’ was his chosen title for the evening.
Nigel's skilfully arranged plant material complemented by stunning flowers, in cleverly engineered containers created an unusual and interesting slant on Christmas floral decorations.
With no meeting in January 2017, Shirley Henderson (area) will be with us on Wednesday, February 1, to demonstrate her theme entitled: “Around the World In…”
New members and visitors are always welcome on the first Wednesday of the month at 7.30pm in Nailsworth Town Hall.
