Wedding award for “Best Gloucestershire Celebrant”

STROUD-based Christina Snell, Community Celebrant, has been given the “Best Celebrant Award” for Gloucestershire in the 3 Counties Wedding Awards 2017.

Christina is a Civil Celebrant, creating and delivering unique, personal and heartfelt ceremonies for weddings, funerals, baby namings and other family and community events. Ceremonies led by Civil Celebrants are driven by the wishes, beliefs and values of the individuals, families and communities involved, not by the beliefs or ideology of the person conducting the funeral. It can include religious or other spiritual content or be entirely without.

Christina became an independent Civil Celebrant in 2015, following careers in the Probation Service and 10 years as Chief Executive at Age UK Gloucestershire. She said; “I am privileged to have a job that enables me to share life’s special and important moments with individuals and families. Every couple I work with is special and unique and it is a joy to be able to work with them to create and deliver a beautiful and memorable ceremony to mark the occasion. Thank you to all the couples who nominated and voted for me”.

A growing number of couples are choosing the more bespoke ceremonies offered by Civil Celebrants, enabling them the freedom to have a much more personalised experience, wherever they wish (including outdoors).
